The forest dungeon boss, the one boss they showed, looks very complicated for a first boss, and pretty fun. I suspect they'll only get harder and more complex (like any Zelda game), so I think I'll be satisfied.
I love Zelda boss fights, and have no doubts that they'll be good in this game. Most amazing jew boots |
I loved Wind Waker bosses, and I especially loved the ghost boss.
Though it was obviously inspired by Luigi's Mansion. I loved the style of the poes in Wind Waker. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
"If you're right, and this is the basic look for a Goron in TP, then wow."
It's not, as Grub pointed out. The second trailer had you fist-fighting a regular looking Goron (along the lines of Darunia). This Goron is a special case, and is in the latest trailer (from this E3). Seem to be some sort of boss or miniboss. Link's Awakening is the best Zelda game, and Wind Waker is more fun than Ocarina of Time (which is slow as a sloth trying to move through cold molasses). But then I liked Wind Waker, music and everything. I just wish they hadn't rushed release. I'm interested in what will have happened to the Zora in this game. There's obviously a reason they haven't been shown yet (and I think someone pretty much confirmed they'd be in it). Most amazing jew boots |
This thread is riddled with inaccuracies!
"A Link to the Past was the very first RPG I've ever played" Please don't call it an RPG, despite it being a role playing game (which virtually any game can be classified as, technically). It isn't boring, thus it is not an RPG. You want a new villain, check out Minish Cap. Vaati rocks the shit, plus he has an awesome name. I'd like to point out that the final battle in that game is probably the best Zelda end boss ever, and this is coming from a guy who loves pretty much all of them a whole lot. I don't expect to see Vaati in this, but I would like to see someone who is not Ganondorf, although I expect him to be in it to some capacity. Acerbandit is totally correct about Tingle. Those screenshots are gorgeous, why do I have to wait so long to play this game, and why is it coming out on the same day as Metroid Prime 3? Damn you Nintendo! "If that's the case I don't even want to think about what Malon might look like... (She was one of my favorite characters in both Link's Awakening and OoT.)" Malon wasn't even in Link's Awakening. That was Marin. Although I do like both Malon and Marin. It's easy to get them confused. Most amazing jew boots |
Southjag, none of the Nintendo loyalists you're arguing with seem to mind much, that it was delayed. I'd called that a minor flaw in your logic.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
When I heard that, I thought maybe first person perspective. Being Link is finally practical and immersive in the way that Miyamoto wants it to be, with the Wii controller.
Maybe. Who really knows what they have in mind. Maybe the quote has lost its relevance by now. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I've heard from someone who's played it (and playing it with only controller sound, no TV sound) that the speaker is somewhere along the lines of the DS. And he wasn't satisfied with that, either, but only because he has a surround sound system that he spent a ton of money on, and he wants everything to be of comparable quality to Dolby surround.
So take that as you will. Someone told me that the Gamecube version of the game is coming out later. Is this true? I'll probably be getting the Wii version, for what it has to offer, but if they come out at the same time I'll still consider the GC version. It would be nice to play the traditional way one last time before diving off into the unknown. FELIPE NO |
I glanced through it. I'm not going to read all of it until tomorrow morning, because it's three AM right now, but it seemed really interesting, and I have a growing suspicion that not only will it be a good review (very rare, I generally loath reviews and reviewers), but it'll get me really hyped for the coming week.
"Nintendo, thank you for growing up and giving us a story that is worthy of the game play that Zelda has boasted for over two decades." This line annoys me for various reasons, though. Guy has obviously never played Link's Awakening or Majora's Mask (or Wind Waker for that matter; I was fairly impressed by it, too). Or perhaps this one is just that grand. I suppose it depends on how you judge stories. Anyway, I could go on for hours about that but I think I'll spend that time sleeping instead. More when I read it all. Most amazing jew boots |
