Is it me or do the character shading/colouring in the FMVs look horrible? Ugh.

Oh mann. The developers in Square Enix are assholes. Actually, it's nothing painful but it kinda pissed me off xD Right after I beat Ahriman, I exit to the next area. And I step on a trap right in front of the door, instant kill. Thank god I could change to the other characters + raise.

Is it me or are most of the bosses extremely difficult (compared to the other Final Fantasy's)? Especially the bosses with ailment status attacks.

edit: I forgot to ask. Is it me... or do the the voices of the characters sound like they're speaking through a Darth Vader mask? It sounds muffled. Could it be my speakers?

Has anyone used so obvious combo Oil + Firaga/Flare? It deals at least 8000+ damage to normal enemies, and if you have "Gain MP after dealing Magick damage", no MP is lost - or rather, you gain MP.

Btw, does anyone know where I can get the Thief Cuffs (or whatever it's called)?

What is "chain" anyways? Is it just consecutive random attacks in a row?

Mucknuggle: Nope, poaching just slows down the process as you're obviously losing an attacker. But if you have embroidered tippet (sp?) which 2x the exp pts. gained, then you don't have to worry. Besides, stealing takes ~5 seconds. Anyways, I have my characters caste oil on the enemy while my magic caster (Ashe) spits Firaga -- instant kill. (Y)

Thanks for the info on Chaining. I'll try that a little later tonight. except, what's sad is I haven't brought any new weapons/armor for ages so I'm not sure if I need the money.

Btw, does it seem lazy that you can basically make every character have the same equipment. It takes away any customization, since I'm basically optimizing my character to whatever I have/can afford, whch probably isn't a good tactic. i

Gay, I worded it wrong. I meant that every character is the same, and it doesn't really matter which one you choose. So it has too much customization -- and not structured like the previous Final Fantasy's. Not complaining though, I still like it.

It's just the story I don't like. If there is a story... =(

I am in the First Ascent, 40 hours into the game. I haven't been doing any hunting at all. And seeing how I haven't gotten the full 100 hours (money's worth) yet, I'll start right before I finish the last boss or so. Oh, and having Reddas on my team is so useless. Plus, he's taking my precious XP. I just kill him and leave him dead the entire time. He doesn't even have unlimited potions like that small kid, forgot his name.

AI think something is wrong with my game/ps2. Sometimes, some of the character's moves just stall. I'd be waiting patiently for Curaga but I end of getting my ass handed over then the Game Over screen pops up.

Oh btw, did anyone level up all 6 characters equally or mainly stuck with the 3?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The point is if your main 3 die altogether (which is unlikely though), you basically get a second life. But wow, you're the first I know, Wolf xD My last three characters are lv 10 with 3000+ LP. >.>

And I've been experiencing it a lot of stalling near the end of the game. Never happened in the beginning. It must be my PS2 reader having trouble with the centre of the DVD =/

Alright, I'm about to go to the last stage of the game. I got 60 grand left, weapons maxed out (100 atk power, unless there's an ultimate weapon somewhere?). But I'm in the mood for some sidequest. I see you guys talking about Ultimate/Omega Weapon. I'm level 55, would it be worth it to give a try?

Also, in the Bazaars, there's these "Grimoire". What's the point of those?

And I'm trying to find the magick Bravery/Faith. How would I get those?

A game is never perfect. They can always add onto it anyways. But yeah, I'm disappointed too. Not like I'm going to play it again, seeing how this is my least favourite Final Fantasy.

I just attempted to face the last bosses. The last three (before the final) were incredibly easy. I had a wtf, thats it face? And then the final boss - woah wtf (Two-WA?). Almost shit my pants. But yeah, I died. Going to buy those Grimoires (thanks for the info Leknaat), and start hunting. Too bad hunting isn't going to be any fun since my level is exponentially higher than the hunted ._. Level up my clan level so I can buy that Bubble magick. <3

Yeah, heh, that's what I got. Pure X-potions but right at the end, he manages to take out 2000+ damage each second. And I'm constantly healing every second until they die =( My characters are all level 55. I'm trying hunts now so I can get Bravery and Bubble.

Leknaat, what does Float + Invisible (Vanish?) do? xD I'll try that I guess.

I better beat this game fast, I want to try Odin Sphere.

Yup, Dispel works on the last boss. Only for the normal protection though. But after casting "Great Protection or w/e", he immediately casts Reflect (or some other type of magick that prevents magick) so you gotta act fast.

But other ailments don't work. If only silence worked ._.

I kinda grinded a lot so I was usually a few levels higher than the enemy. But during boss battles, they have nasty ailment attacks would is a pisser. So yes, it gets a little harder - and of course, more annoying.

Heh, I still have to beat the last boss. I haven't touched it since I started Odin Sphere and DQ8. xD
