If you upgrade too high, I think higher than 3.5, you'll need a to get/make a Pandora Battery/Magic Stick to downgrade it. So if yours is over 3.5 already then upgrade, if not then stay away from all upgrading -- it'll save you lots of time and maybe money.

If you're decent at soldering, you can solder the phat battery into a Pandora. And you can easily download a noob installer of the magic memory stick someone online. So you technically do it without 1.5 psp.

I'm trying to install the patch but I get this:
pspbtjnf.bin not found (something along those lines) Anyone have any ideas? Also, for remotejoy, does it not work with Vista? I think I've been doing everything but I still see only a blank screen. Heh, it is a little old. You can actually play almost every PS1 games off the memory stick, assuming the PSP has been hacked with a custom firmware. It's a little better for poor people like me without PS3s, or just want to play PS1 on the go.
