Using that program I referred you to, setting the compression level to 9 is the highest compression.

And if you're going to play a game with multiple disks, you'll need to reuse the same GAME ID you used for the first disk. Because the game saves looks for that GAME ID, and if it's different, obviously it wouldn't recognize it.

http://www.sonyindex.com/Pages/PSone_US_Name.htm has all the GAME ID. Just use DISK 1 for every disk.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah. Sony's emulator isn't perfect.. but it still runs a good 90% of the games at full speed. http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthr...ght=popstation

You've got the files right? http://67.29.132.132/cwcheat/index.php
You placed them in the right folders? Followed the instructions. Go to recovery mode, Plugins, and enable all the CWcheats.

edit: Nevermind, here's a tutorial. Google <3

It hurts me to see that psp get smashed.

On Other note, Should i upgrade from 3.30 to 3.40? I dont know should i?

I'm just waiting for suikoden 2 to work on the psp so.
There's no reason to yet there's no reason not to. It doesn't matter. I would say not to though. Better to not have the risk of bricking (even though it's a small chance... anything can happen =/)

And np, Inhert. Use Google next time

Anyways, what games are you guys playing now? I've been addicted to Crush, on/off on Metal Gear Solid and going to continue Legend of Dragoon (Disk 2).

Nope, you can't downgrade 2.81. However, you can downgrade 3.02 and 3.50. The downside is you'll need a Lumines (US/EURO) version (for 3.50)or US GTA:Liberty City Stories (for 3.02).

http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=33695

The 3.50 downgrader was released just now xD AWESOME news for PSP. TAKE THAT SONY. HAR HAR.

How ya doing, buddy?

So you have official 3.11? The only way to downgrade at the moment, as Solis stated, is upgrading to 3.5 (NOT 3.51, just to make sure) and using the Lumines exploit to 1.5. Then you can upgrade to any OE firmware. (Meaning, you can't upgrade to an OE firmware. You might damage your PSP or your PSP wouldn't allow the updater to run.)

And the update files can be found here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/36

When you download them, there'll both be EBOOT.PBP, you'll have to rename them.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

It should come with the OE installation. It's more or less 3.30, if not exactly. Not sure...

edit: Or when you're converting CC. Use the Game ID: SLPS 01222 (Don't what it does, I just read it off somewhere).

I was speaking idiomatically.

I knoww, I love it too. It's so well organized, unlike most emulators I've seen.

Btw, if you want any SNES game, I can post it. I have (almost?) every single SNES game created. xD

This is amazing news for the PSP scene. And even better news for the peeps with their paperweight PSPs.

Sony probably isn't too happy. =O =O =O

I don't call them pussies because they can't come with sony's emulator, I merely question the hacker community's ability to hack into sony's servers and maybe grab it. of course they could do other stuff when they'd be in the servers but my main interest is the emulator.
Why would people bother to hack into the server, get caught, and go to jail to life, for cheap losers who can't afford a mere $200? >.>

Anyways, you'll need a homebrew PSP and a spare battery, that's it. If your PSP is already homebrew enabled, which I'm sure it is, then all you'll need is a spare battery. And of course, you can always convert back the battery to default.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

My cousin said that I could play AVI files by converting them into ISO and then running them as if it was a UMD. I know it's kinda stupid since I might as well use the time to convert it to mp4 but I'm just curious.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The PSP can emulate almost every known system before (and including) PS1. Emulation uses more battery than usual cause it's increasing the processing speed. However, PSP battery isn't really a concern unless you're an extreme gamer that plays all day in their parent's basement.

And I'm sure you're a FF fan, so there's Crisis Core to be looking forward to. And maybe the rumoured Kingdom Hearts Zero.

edit: And learning how to utilize the PSP homebrew is quite simple.

Then why not get a 4GB memory stick? It's relatively cheap these days. If you can afford a PSP, you can get a 4GB card.

This is just me, but I usually just keep one game, specifically Lumines, in my PSP at all times. And I sometimes have another ISO, because I rarely interchange through different games. Unless you want to play all of the GTA stories, then you shouldn't have a problem.

And battery usually lasts a good 4+ hours, but that's just an estimate for me. I use my PSP as an MP3 player instead (which is probably a waste, meh) which lasts 6+.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Cool, just upgraded some random dude on my University campus' PSP Slim. First time I ever did it and it's pretty damn easy. And I can't believe my palms were sweaty (probably cause the dude was huge, afraid he'd kick my ass if I bricked it). But yeah, huge props to C+D and DA etc...

Can't wait for the 2 player Ad-Hoc for PSX. ><

You'll have to sacrifice all 50 of your copies of ICO in order to update.

Or you can update to the latest 3.71 M33 (except I prefer 3.52 M33), which has yet to have any issues.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Some games require a higher firmware, so if you're going to update, you might as well go with the higher one. 3.71 M33, I hear, is "unstable".

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
