Yup, and then you end up getting a fabulous Pop Station:

The RAR file I downloaded was 118 MB for Vagrant Story, it's possible.

If I only knew how to convert EBOOT back to ISO ._.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The highest downgradable FWis 2.80 so you're out of luck for now. But if it were to be released, http://pspupdates.qj.net would be the first to post it.

And no, if you don't have 3.02 OE-B (not the Sony FW, its custom developed), 1.5, or 2.71 then you can't play homebrew.

Isn't Popstation the exact same thing as PSX2PSP? And there's a readme that comes with Popstation - explains everything.

How ya doing, buddy?

This is a stupid question but I lost my recharging adapter. I only have the half of it, the one that plugs into the PSP. However, I found my laptop charger that looks exactly the same and has the 3A/125V. I believe the PSP is 5A/125V. That's less, and less couldn't harm my PSP can it? It'll just recharge slower? I'm not desperate though, I'll buy another charger soon if it's not possible - probably one of those cheap 3rd party ones; I heard those work perfectly.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I got a MadCatz USB charger and it's been 3 hours already; and only 30% recharged. It usually takes 5 hours to full recharge (partly because my battery is almost dead?). Meh, I guess I'll have to leave it overnight.

Pietek, someone told me if you use over 5A, then it could overheat, burn, and possibly burn my house down.

Videos look pretty good now, although, it's not a huge difference from before - but still sexy. =D

Anyways, Pimpstreamer doesn't work for me anymore. And I can't load ISOs from USBhost. I don't want to make up 1.6 GBs for GTAVC. It takes me 30 minutes to put in that amount of space (I got a fake MS).

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

But... I don't know what games to download. Any suggestions? No Final Fantasy please - something obscure. =)

Dark_Alex released another update - 3.03 OE-C:

Quote:
* AVC videos bitrate limit patched. The firmware limited the bitrate of avc videos to only 768 Kbps. OE now forces the limit to be 16384 Kbps. (Note: this doesn't mean than the psp can handle such a high bitrate, this means than they won't show error. I don't know which is the real maximum bitrate than the psp can handle at full speed)
* Speed of OE boot is now ~3 seconds faster than previous versions. (without plugins)
* CPU speed of XMB can now be changed.
* Wifi can now work at 333 Mhz!
* Added access to flash 0 and 1 via usb in the recovery menu, based on the great idea of USBSSS by Booster. Note that writing is enabled, so this is intended only for advanced users that know what they are doing in each moment.(It is not a great idea to change anything from the kd folder). Because of this addition, the rest of flashing options were removed.
* PSP isos can now be deleted as any normal memstick games. (also the size of the iso now shows fine when you press triangle->information).
* When formatting memory stick, GAME150, GAME303 and ISO directories will be automatically created!
* Changes in internal HEN core:
o If a EBOOT.PBP with a plain DATA.PSP had a data.psar, modulemgr took as size of the executable the size of data.psp+data.psar. Fixed. (this fix enables psx games to have plain data.psp without causing a memory error).
o Added a couple of patches found by Tyranid. One allows syscalls instructions to be used in kernel mode without causing a crash. The other allows sceKernelQueryModuleInfo to work with sceInit and previous modules.

And this is just the stuff in the actual firmware. Dark_AleX has also updated the popstation with the following things:

* The writing is now a bit different. This will avoid "Memory stick blinking too much" bug when using the plugin to load the 3.02 pops.
* popstation now lets the use of non-encrypted DATA.PSP. If data.psp is in the same directory as the app, popstation will use that as the DATA.PSP of the eboot.pbp. Otherwise, it will use the one from BASE.PBP. A DATA.PSP that imitates the original sony one is included.
* EBOOT.PBP generated with a non encrypted data.psp won't need the file KEYS.BIN at all. (Note: these EBOOT.PBP cannot work in versions prior to 3

Well, the 3.03 downgrader has been released.

http://www.noobz.eu/

Wait a few days -- see the success rate first because there are cases of bricks.

With virtually every PSP downgrable, it's safe to say that Sony will take a HUGE blow in their software sales - which means, I really hope people are still going to buy software and just use their 3.03 OE for PSX homebrew.

Most amazing jew boots

Nonono. Lol, SE is "Special Edition" - meaning, a custom firmware.

Ness would need to downgrade it to 1.5 in order to upgrade to 3.03.

This detailed thread should help: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=33695

Note: Make sure he knows what motherboard he has. I cannot stress that enough - because if he uses the wrong downgrader, he's got an expensive brick.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yup. That TA-082 Easy Downgrader should work perfectly. After all, it's done by the infamous Noobz + DA.

However, if you're still unsure about the instructions, maybe this guide will help: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=42069

You will need to downgrade back to 1.5 before upgrading to OE-C.

Btw, when you're going to downgrade to 1.5, make sure your battery power is 75%+.

I found a great PSP ISO site! http://www.pspiso.com/

Kinda like SNESORAMA but very unorganized. Thank god for the search option though.

Yeahh.. I don't suggest you continue playing Chrono Cross. It apparently freezes every time you go to the menu. And for future references when you're going to play an PSX game:

Maybe the error started happening in the 3.10 pop-plugin. Try using the 3.03 plugin... not sure how to do that though. Try to ask around in that forum.

Hold R before you turn on your PSP, you'll enter "recovery mode". Go to configuration and enable NO-UMD. However, some games require a UMD but you might get lucky.

There is a way, it's in the PSP menu (to the far left). My bro has my PSP now so I don't remember where it is. But there definitely is an option. I have firmware 3.10 OE-A though.

For PSX to PSP, use this converter: http://pspupdates.qj.net/index.php?pg=49&aid=78985 (Its the only one I can remember that doesn't require BASE)

You can easily find tutorials through Google anyways: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=56492

And to customize the icon, when selecting games: http://popsdb.twystneko.com/
