Socializing at work

That's amazing and sounds fun as heck, man. Unfortunately, my work does NOTHING like that. I am the most insociable person in this office which is kind of funny considering all the bullshit I said in this thread.

There's no real social functions here but besides that I COULD hang out and talk to my co-workers. We have plenty of down time and I notice plenty of water cooler conversations taking place all over the building. The only problem is, I fucking HATE everyone I work with. Loathe them. Well, except the receptionist. She's nice. The rest of them though, jesus. Stab you in the back at any moment and fake. I don't like fake people. When I first started working here they really didn't like me either, now, for some strange reason, they're all really friendly and talkative with me... it's just too bad I would like them to leave me the fuck alone so I can get my work done and get out of there.

That's always a problem I've had with the work environment. I have no interest in conversing with ANY of my co-workers, mostly because I usually have nothing in common with them and we end up talking about the same pointless drivel. Also, I'm usually in a bad mood when I'm at work so I get annoyed very quickly.

Somehow, someway, I still always manage to make... "friends" at work. I never stay in contact with them after I leave the company. I could barely tolerate them while I'm there.

If people only knew the things I was thinking. =/
