It's really hard to follow the point you're trying to get across and the question you're trying to ask with all that useless diatribe in the beginning of your OP. Save that shit for your journal.
But sacrifices. God, such a general thing to ask about but I'll bite.
Right now, I've got more than enough money to fix my car, but I still continue to ride my bike everywhere because I'd like to get fit. This includes riding my bike 30 miles, round trip, to rehearsal with my band. In a few months time I do believe this will pay off.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
