It helps that I just got past that part in the game.
I had to stay behind in a small town because something valuable belonging to my master, a merchant, was stolen. He thought that my special abilities would help me to find the item. With the help of two strangers from the north, I was able to recover it, and upon discovering that there was no way for me to return to my master, I decided to join them on their quest. (trying not to make it too easy, and probably failing) How ya doing, buddy?
