I was putting off watching the first episode because I wanted to get caught up with some other series. Now that I am caught up I just watched the first episode. Wow. Quite impressive for a first episode. I liked the main character right away which is something that doesn't normally happen for me. I really hope subsequent episodes keep up the interesting story theme and have a lot more likable characters. I'm off to download the whole series now.

Holy shit, that looks gay. Well, anyway at least it's Mushishi so hopefully they can pull off a good story and some nice music.

While I haven't seen a trailer the pictures just turn me off. I also wonder how they will portray the Mushi. Probably, CG which I hope is some high quality CG. Mushishi is one of my favorite anime so unless I hear some really horrible things about the movie I will most likely see it.
