How do you...
...make FFDShow work on WMP/MPC? For some pathetic reason I can't make it work on either. Yes I know I'm stupid. I need an idiot guide too.
![]() Thanks ![]() Jam it back in, in the dark.

Thats the thing, I did install it. But I still can't see the movie I'm trying to view, since it needs the H264 codec. I even checked all the boxes in the options list. And I read the read-me file, which didn't offer any more help. See my predicament?
I don't want to have to d/l another player. I know its able to run on WMP/MPC, and thats how I want it. ![]() Fussy bastard, ain't I? EDIT: Just realised, is this even in the right forum? Should this be in Help Desk? Damn. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yes, it really is H264 encoded. WMP is the only player I want because I don't like having shitloads of player/codec packs cluttering my computer. Yes I'm eggagerating a little, but I've just had my computer initilized for the fifth time. I want the basics, nothing else.
"Is H264 support enabled in 'ffdshow video decoder configuration'?" Apart from the read-me, I can't actually open anything in the ffdshow folder. (so no error messages...) This is what confuses me the most. The file names of both are ffdshow-20020617 and mpc2kxp6490. I have no idea what cpu I'm using, this is the most technical I'm gonna get. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Container type? Tupperware for all I know.
I don't have a problem with VLC, I just want it to run on WMP. End of. Asking if I can read is a bit below the belt. I appreciate your help but you don't have to be a fucking bitch about it. They were just numbers to me, I made a simple mistake. I realise now that I just didn't have the latest build. The cpu is fine. It works now. Whatever. Thanks. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
