Bloody Q kept nagging me to make this, so fine.
All my games are from Fall, possibly because I wiped my mind of the ME3 disaster and whole Spring while I was at it. Borderlands 2 - 25 points Favorite game this year. Even though it was much the same as the first, with some improvements, I enjoyed the shit out of it. Only minus I would give it is for the unnecessarily melodramatic plot pieces later on. Dishonored - 21 points Good game all in all, with peculiar visual style, nice combat and delicious stealth. My only complaint about it really was the lack of secondary uses for the abilities, as stealthy non-lethal players like me had no uses for half the available tricks. MechWarrior Online - 20 points I'm very glad I downloaded the client after seeing Skills and Taco foam in chat about it. Game was right in my alley as I had been craving for something like this for a long time now. A nice, hulkier, slower phased "shooter" and "simulation" OF GOD DAMN GIANT ROBOS. XCOM Enemy Unknown - 19 points This one came almost out of the blue for me, only heard of it some months before release. The original xcom is one of my favorite games and among my most replayed titles ever, so I was pretty worried if this was going to be a consolized piece of shit. To my pleasant suprise they did a pretty good job bringing this "remake" to this generation and the game works quite well. While it doesn't have quite a bit of the original's features, it was a enjoyable ride while it lasted. Minus points for those repeating alien cutscenes. Guild Wars 2 - 15 points I'll admit I secretly hoped this to give me stuff to do for quite a bit longer than it did, because honestly the endgame just wasn't there, but still, the game was a freshest mmo-ride for long years. I would still recommend going through it once. Jam it back in, in the dark.
