I have actually tried MP3Gain, but seeing as I'm a noob at it, how can I increase the volume without clipping?
Jokes aside - by turning up the volume knob. Or buying a better set of speakers.

Most music nowadays is actually made very loud, and this its heavily clipped. Compared to that, your tunes are probably on normal level (in fact the few rips I saw from videogames all had proper mastering and volume levels, instead of the clipping hell of commercial discs).

So technically if you want your normal non-loud non-clipped songs to sound loud, apply replaygain/mp3gain to everything else, and turn up the volume.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
