Oh man, I remember that Cena injury at the 2004 Rumble. That makes me cringe every time I see it. He's not the only one to land like that, but he is one of the only ones to actually get injured from it.

Spoiler:

When you look at it, Punk was the best choice given 1) current suspensions, 2) humbleness, 3) momentum/popularity and 4) wrestling skill. I would have thought Kennedy would have won it but I guess the bad rap he got early in the year stopped that.

Thing is though, the MITB title shot has ALWAYS gotten a person to win the gold. Now, maybe Punk will use it for an ECW title shot to really raise the value of the ECW brand. I can't forsee Punk winning either of the two main brand titles. So that might mean that option 3, Punk losing the title shot, will occur.

Spoiler:
You trying to say CM Punk is humble!? Good one!

Also, apparently some wrestler (either former or current, news people aren't allowed to say just yet, it seems) sold their house in Atlanta.. and the person who bought it found 2 shoeboxes in a wall that had steroids in it.
That would be Mike Knox from WWECW. He's also in complete denial about it.

Well, there are also reports that 4 people lived in the house and that also, the steroids/HGH were being used in 2K4, a year before the wellness plan. And if he was tested and came out clean, then why bitch?
A copy of his contract, airplane tickets under his name, and other incriminating stuff was found in the same box as the steroids.

For those that are curious, the Undertaker's submission finisher is known as the gogoplata. A Brazilian Ju-Jitsu submission hold.

Well...

Spoiler:

Booker T turned heel again, beating down Cage/Rhino. What is it with WWE guys having heel turns within six months of their arrival in TNA (Rhino, Cage, Angle...).
LAX won the tag titles.

Kaz won a shot at the world title, replacing Angle. Joe retained over him and Steiner.

Rhino started in TNA as heel. He turned face pretty quick.

The depressing thing about the Cade/Murdoch angle is that Cade will get the push while Murdoch will be stuck to relative jobber status. I find Murdoch much more enjoyable (especially on the mic).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Styles has a whole slew of fresh opponents for one on one matches (even if he did fight them in tag matches, it's not the same). Also, Booker T has stated that he mainly wants to help put guys over. Of course, that doesn't mean that the bookers are doing a good job of that. Putting him in a feud with Roode, for god knows how long, and have Roode lose in the end... Well, you get the picture.

I would say AJ is a homegrown TNA talent too. Remember, Triple H did have a brief stint in WCW also.

EDIT: On a side note, did anyone get to see Matt Sydal on ECW? Very entertaining match. He's a great punching bag with amazing offense. I'm just happy he actually got to use some of that offense.

D'Lo has improved leaps and bounds over what he was before. He was actually pretty good before, but his time in Japan has made his workrate top notch.

Can't say the same thing for Bull Buchanan. -_-

EDIT: Just for fun, I'll add this vid for the fed he was wrestling in.

On another note... Cade out of NO WHERE and I think I'm going to like the idea of Jericho being Triple H's next feud.
I hope they use the fact that Cade was trained by HBK in this story. Could be something very enjoyable right of the start of his new singles run.

Yeah...that Batista Edge collision was pretty sick.

But I have to LOL at Vinnie Mac thinking that now that hes done giving away money, the Raw ratings are going to stay high.
The ratings didn't go up to begin with. Matter of fact, they went down.

Jamie Noble is actually a amazing performer. He held the ROH World Title back in 2005. Now, if only he would stay away from the steroids for good now...

I don't mean it in a negative way, but it sounds like a pretty boiler-plate setup for a swerve down the line. Both of the main players there are drawing huge heat as heels; there would be no sense in turning either face.
You are 100% right, but I will add that the WWE is very random in the "making sense" department.

The old ECW was rebellious, didn't rely on heavy special effects and retarded dramatic storylines, had better announcers, and was an overall quality promotion.
And every storyline that involved Raven was?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Most every dramatic storyline that involved Raven occurred in WCW and not ECW.
I dunno, man. Raven/Stevie, Raven/Sandman, and ESPECIALLY Raven/Dreamer were all very drama filled feuds. Two of them are also the main feuds that Raven was known for in his ECW days. You also had feuds like Douglas/Funk, Dudleys/Everyone, Tazz/Sabu w/Alfonso. I'm sure there's lots I'm forgetting. The thing is, most of these Drama based storylines were a lot more well done than the stuff the other companies were putting out at the time.

Speaking of DDP, I'm reminded of him giving Goldberg (arguably) the best match of Goldberg's career.

So...um...there goes Jericho?

Report from a fan who saw Jericho go ballistic after being shoved/attacked/provoked by some fans that included him shoving fans out of the way, punching a couple in the face, punching one woman in the face, getting into the arena security's faces and shoving them as well. The woman who got punched in the face is pressing charges against Jericho.

"Here is what actually happened, as my girlfriend and I were literally 5 feet away from the altercation (the total incident was about 5 minutes) and saw the whole thing happen. Here's what happened:

This afternoon after the WWE house show in Victoria, my girlfriend and I went to see the wrestlers leave the arena (this was my girlfriend's first WWE event and she wanted to see them leave). The following is exactly what happened right in front of me and about another 50 wrestling fans who happened to be there are well:

Chris Jericho exited the building, and walked over to his white rental vehicle. The crowd watching him leave was heckling him, but he was ignoring it. He gets in his vehicle and drives out of the arena parking lot, right past the crowd of us. As Jericho stops at a stop sign, a fan runs into the street and starts banging on his rental vehicle. At this point about 50 people rush into the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic in several directions, with no police and very inadequate and incompetent security (no WWE security guards period). My girlfriend and I were literally in the very front of the crowd, and this all went down literally five feet away from us.

Chris Jericho opens the door to his vehicle in the middle of the road, and the fan shuts the door back on him. Jericho then gets out of the vehicle completely, and punches the fan in the face! This prompts another fan to jump in (he was friends with the first) and attack Jericho, and Jericho scuffles with the second guy. At this point, a woman who knows the second guy who attacked Jericho starts to jump in and get in Jericho's face (because he was fighting her friend).

This is where the Save on Foods Rent-A-Security Guards stopped standing around watching this happen (I swear they thought they were watching a wrestling angle or something), and stepped in to separate Jericho and the woman, who was shoving him. Looking at Jericho's face he was obviously ready to explode and was restraining himself...but then the shitstorm happened...

He spit in the girl's face, and called her a "fu*king bitch". The woman then spit in Jericho's face. Jericho then started cursing out the woman some more, and was getting ready to go back into his vehicle (as all of this is still happening in the middle of the road). While he was turning to go into his vehicle, one of the guys he was fighting shoved Jericho against his car. Another guy then shoved Jericho, and that time he bumped his head on the top of his vehicle. This was where Jericho seriously snapped.

After bumping his head, Jericho went into a sh*tstorm, throwing and swinging at everybody around him. He knocked one guy to the ground, told another fan that he was going to "fu*king kill you". The woman who got spit on was still yelling at Jericho, so he piefaced her away from him (because the arena security couldn't keep them separated). As soon as he put his hands on the woman, ANOTHER fan jumps in and starts swinging at Jericho. Jericho grabs the guy and starts throwing him to the ground, and at this point I have to yank my girlfriend out of the way and into some other people because Jericho had literally thrown himself and the other guy into our direction and we would of been knocked down by the scuffle.

The arena security try again at this point to regain order, and two of them grab Jericho and start yelling at him to calm down, to which Jericho responds by taking a swing at one of the security guards and yelling at them to "do your fu*king job and get the fu*king police here". Then he shoves the second guard to the ground and tells him to "stay the fu*k off me".

Well, as that happens, the chick lunges at Jericho AGAIN, and this time Jericho actually punches the woman in the face, and shoves her to the ground. This stunned everyone, and the girl's friends ended up jumping in trying to fight Jericho, to which he fought all of them off, then storms into his vehicle swearing and speeds off, running through a stop sign in the process.

This whole thing happened over the span of about 5 minutes (of the street being blocked by this ordeal), and the woman ended up calling the cops on Jericho. They arrived 5 minutes after Jericho left, complete with a Paddy Wagon. The WWE's head of security did not see the incident, so he was there trying to figure out what happened along with the cops at the same time while yapping on his cell phone, and the woman is pressing charges against Jericho. As crazy and unbelievable this sounds, it can all be backed up with whatever police report was filed on the scene this afternoon.

I hope this made sense, as a lot of stuff happened. If you have any questions or need clarification, just ask. This was taped by several people with cell phone cameras, but there were only 50 people down there so I hope the video makes it way to the internet. Regardless, this went down as one of the craziest things I have ever seen in my life (even if it didn't involve Chris Jericho), and Jericho could be in some serious legal trouble over this one; although he was provoked, he seriously snapped and crossed the line."

I guess we all have a bad day to say the least. Jericho was sorta in the right up to the point where he took a swing at one of those in security. The thing with the woman is unclear (the person said she lunged at her. Unclear as lunged can mean one is attacking another) but if it wasn't anything more than verbal than Jericho went over the line.

Edit: I looked at one video and it looked like the one woman Jericho punched pulled him out of the car or tugged at him or grabbed him or something. If this is true, then in theory Jericho could say he was defending himself (think to the days of old when fans hid knives and the like).

Here's about a minute worth of video footage of the incident.

This was really depressing news for me. Been a HUGE Misawa fan for a very long time. For those that don't know, he's basically the Austin of Japan. He's been a top guy since the early 90's and started Pro Wrestling NOAH back in 2000. Here's a wiki page for him:

Mitsuharu Misawa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Also, here's some great highlights for some of his signature moves:

YouTube Video

YouTube Video

One of his most famous rivalries was with Toshiaki Kawada back in the mid - late 90's. They worked a very brutal style known as King's Road. King's Road is when the match is played out through one upsmanship in brutality. They hit extra hard and go for more dangerous sheer drop moves as the match goes on. This was also considered by many to be the golden age of Japanese Pro Wrestling. here was one of their matches for the triple crown:

YouTube Video

It's just crazy that after taking all those dangerous bumps on his head, a move that's designed to be a back bump took him out.

EDIT: Apparently, he suffered a heart attack when he took the move.
