I'm not a Sakimoto fan either. The only thing of his I really *REALLY* liked was Final Fantasy Tactics (sorry - I don't dig FF12 much) and what little chiptune work of his exists (Check out my Bonk rip for Magical Quest - holy GAWD that thing sounds freaking awesome)
When Sakimoto goes for a melodic, catchy sound to his music - DAMN is it fun. Opoona seems to fall into this category and I gotta say its the first Sakimoto score I've liked in a long time. Totally digging this.  Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
