I'm from Birmingham AL and I've thought that for years. And considering that I am from B'ham I am SOOOOOO SICK of hearing about this case. Don't get me wrong, no parent should have to lose a child. Thats the worst feeling in the world. But this goes far beyond the call and duty of "PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT IT NOW".

I love the news media taglines - Commercials that go "New Developments in the Natalee Holloway case! Natalee was seen at the souvenier shop buying a fake tattoo! OHNOES1!!11!!!!"

That shit gets hella annoying for the 65749876327676th consecutive time.

And furthermore had this been an ugly black chick or a fat latino girl or some crazy samoan woman who went to visit some little backwater island 3 miles off the coast of Fairy World or some shit that fell off a cliff into a black hole vortex into another dimension it still wouldnt get HALF the coverage Natalee gets which is sad. There are SO MANY other cases out there that are just as if not MORE pressing and we're still focusing on the same case that is perpetually going nowhere. (Personally I kinda wanna strangle that Joren Van Der Sloot guy cause he comes off a bit of a pompous ass but maybe thats just me)

Furthermore is it just me or does it seem that news show hosts such as Nancy Grace (whom I dont really care for any more than the stuff that pours daily out of the crack of my ass. man i dislike her something fierce) seem to obsess over this case in particular?

Anyways I dont mean to take away from the tragedy of the situation. It IS sad that the girl died, but the way the media is focusing on it as if it was the next sign of the apocalype is just annoying.
