Umm, no, not every game runs natively in 720p. This was proven long ago with the PGR3 issue. The "pixel counting" method isn't the most reliable method to use (although if it was being done wrong, why aren't ALL other Xbox 360 games exhibiting this problem on that TV?), but I see no reason to doubt that it could be true since several Xbox 360 games use that method for gaining performance. We'll see what Bungie says about it.
And do you have to make EVERY criticism of the game sound like it's some huge conspiracy to downplay it? Especially when your only argument against a mathematically calculated assessment is "no that's bullshit, the game is perfect".

For crying out loud, who cares if the resolution is upscaled or not? If a game is fun, you play it. If it isn't fun, then go play something else. Seriously, upscaling is hardly a cardinal sin, especially considering that HDTV isn't even a standard format yet. Consider the number of graphical travesties that have been released on the Wii simply because developers don't feel any sort of obligation to even use the system for what little it is capable of. At least enough work went into Halo 3 to make it as good as it is. If I am to believe fan reports, it is the worthy sequel to the first game. I'll be playing it for the first time either tomorrow night or Sunday so I'll have more of an opinion then.
Anyway, I digress. Back to the topic of graphic whores. I don't say ZOMG Prime 3 Corruption sux, it only displays 480p widescreen. I play the game because it is fun. I remember back when 16 colours displayed simultaneously was a big deal and I now know people who won't even touch a NES because it is far too dated for their tastes. When gaming becomes more about presentation than play control, then there is a big problem.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
