Rydia's been my favorite character since the game first came out. I liked that she could learn all the black magic spells as a kid, excluding fire 1 and the level 2 spells.
I liked that at level 99, magic would just fail to work on her. When she's by herself, Sylph became a free summon. She could solo most enemies no problem, even through the final area, at no mp cost. She was capable of massively raping most of the bosses, summoned monsters etc. She could take on Zeromus by herself far more easier than say, any other the other characters. My little black mage was like unto a god. As for favorite game though, that one's tougher. Final Fantasy 6 maybe? I've replayed that one a whole ton of times. Different games offer different things. Ninja Gaiden 2's my favorite platformer type thing. It's a nice place to spend an hour. Persona 2 and SMT Nocturne both gave me that giddy pokemon feeling, except instead of cute 'n fuzzy, they were gods and demons. Persona 2 especially gave me fond memories, because I tried to create a database of monster negotiations. As a result before I got out of the high school, I had a helios with maxed stats. Star Control II was another game I enjoyed enough to want to categorize completely. Map and spreadsheet of planets with available resources. Jam it back in, in the dark.
