However I see all of you are very picky, and act like you're all Adam Sessler with the jaded video gamer eye that has to see a flaw in every game that's released. The bottom line is, is the sequel fun? Is it filled with the magic that the first game had? And this is to the gamers who fell in love with the first game, not the people who played the NiGHTS series for the first time on the Wii.

I'm a pretty big Sega fan, even after everything had gone downhill after all these years. NiGHTS 2 is genuinely average at best. The flying segments are faithful, in some respects better than the original, particularly if you use the non-Wii-mote controls. The problem is that Iizuka decided to cram in as much extra content in for the sake of having it, which is the problem with 3D Sonic games in general. This game is no exception. There's all this extra
crap that gets in the way of the good stuff, and you are forced to trudge through it.
If they had stuck to the simple formula of the original, I think fans of the original would have been a lot happier. They tried to please everyone and instead, as the saying goes, they ended up pleasing no one.
