Well Batman's my nomination, but man, that Stage 4-1/5 is a really good track. Especially if you consider the way Megadrive soundtracks sound sometimes (when the audio guy was lazy programming his FM), this is just really great. Naoki Nodaka rocks! <3 I'll definitely be nominating more by this underappreciated composer.
The next track I really enjoyed was Chibi-Robo's Happy Birthday. It's not spectacular, but it's fun and cheerful. Most of the tracks this time around aren't so great, but then there's Necros' Metroplex. Although the "jazzy" side of 90s trackers hasn't aged that well in my opinion, Andrew is just a really skilful tracker and a huge influence on myself, and I still love everything he did (perhaps partially out of nostalgia). I didn't particularly enjoy any of the other tracks. I thought zephyr was the tracker guy zephyr (Chris Micali), but I guess not. 3 points - Batman The Video Game - Stage 4-1 ~Gotham City Streets 2~ & Stage 5 ~In the Sky Over Gotham City~ 2 points - Progression – Metroplex 1 point - Chibi-Robo Nintendo Official Guidebook + Soundtrack CD - Happy Birthday Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I guess it was popular at the Soundtrack Central...
Well, necros gets some bonus points in life for writing Winter and Sorrow Expert. Congrats! There's nowhere I can't reach. |
