I don't have a particular song in mind right now, but I'm curious - what do people think about the eligibility of the Mario Party games? I don't really recall ever hearing much talk about the music, other than the fact that Yasunori Mitsuda worked on the first one.
Obviously, the games themselves are pretty popular, but iirc, eligibility isn't determined by game popularity (though that may affect the decisions). It's more a matter of whether or not the music is popular / known / talked about. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012): SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels? Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

I've played Portal, and yeah, that song is awesome. I wonder how many of us have really heard it, though?
There's nowhere I can't reach.

Will edit with points shortly.
Agni: Sub-par for Atelier series standards. Nothing special about it. Lao's Theme: Defensive Line: Not bad, but there's not enough variation for me. The Grown-Up Game: I like cheery songs, but this one's too simple, and I don't care for the singing. Hamel: The best song this week. Dark Hollow: Perhaps the most interesting song of the batch, simply because it's different than most songs. Kawanabe Theme: More enjoyable than most of this week's songs. Brilliant Marks of Heat Haze: Quality stuff. Not as enjoyable as Kawanabe Theme, though. Hamel - 2 pts. Kawanabe Theme - 2 pts. Brilliant Marks - 1 pt. Dark Hollow - 1 pt. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
