It all depends. If I'm playing offline and by myself I prefer tactical games. But the problem with playing tactical games online is that they almost never end up being tactical anymore. I've always had trouble finding good tactical partners in games. Like for instance in Splinter Cell: Chaos theory. No one ever stays in shadows or sneaks on their enemies, they just run into a room and start shooting away, and run on to the next room.
