The fact that those projectiles could be controlled is why I didn't like them. It was impossible to successfully steer that stuff in the middle of a heated battle, and you couldn't just shoot it straight because it wasn't worth it damage-wise.

How ya doing, buddy?

After Dr. Wright, there is only one thing that could make this game any more awesome.

NEWCOMER:

MIKE!

StarTropics was fucking AWESOME.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

People like it because it's another thing to unlock, something to keep playing for. Then you could even choose if your Mii is slow and strong or small and quick. That develops into choose a move set, upgrading abilities as you play more, etc. I'd be fine with it for this game, but I just worry what they'd do in the next installment.
I'd actually be rather ticked if that's what Smash Bros. turned into. One thing that I've always loved about the series is how easy it is to learn the game and get playing, without excessive customization getting in the way.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Just name it Mother*groan*er. If they can get away with that on a radio surely a game cover can do the same~

It's the same logic that appear to be behind some achievements. I bet a large number of people bought COD4 because they loved the beta and were interested in the multiplayer, so they packed achievements into singleplayer so people would play it.

My preference would be a system where you can unlock everything in the game via either multiplayer matches or the other modes; but if you did it with multiplayer it'd take a lot longer than doing the "other modes" option. Like, beat singleplayer with 5 characters or play 250 matches total to unlock some random character. That kind of thing. That way everyone can choose their own unlock path but at the same time you don't have everything unlocked after 15 minutes of playing.

I was speaking idiomatically.

It's entirely possible they just pushed both release dates back to be able to make more copies of the game, nothing more, nothing less. Since when does the Dojo owe you anything for the game being delayed?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I just thought of something: the logical reasoning behind this could be:

Push back Japan's release date one week to make more copies.
Push back America's release date four weeks so they can spend 2 weeks making Japanese copies, then get a 2 week head start on America's copies, then start cranking them out for both countries simultaneously.
