I have a very simple rule of thumb. I've learned from experience that just because a review says a game is awful doesn't mean someone won't have fun with it. If someone walks up with 3 games and asks me no questions about them, it's easier and less time-consuming to just let them buy their game rather than trying to talk them out of it. And to my knowledge I have never given anyone
the look. Really, when I deal with kids and parents buying for kids most of the time, a lot of people forget that kids are very easily amused. What may pass for a horrible derivative game to an adult will entertain a kid for days.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
