One of the newest annoying experience I've encountered (in WoW) involves the new battleground AFK penalty. Where if you gain the status of <AFK> while in a battleground game, you're automatically kicked out with deserter status. So, a massive amount of players are constantly spamming "Type /AFK report to report all AFKers!"
I, while foolishly not understanding text commands fully yet, typed it. It was then that I realized the command simply first puts me on AFK status and then follows a subdirective to leave a message saying "Report." So, I basically get kicked out of the battleground with an away message.
All that learning from FFXI:Online gone to waste

That's actually reportable and those guys can get a ban for doing that kinda shit. =\
As for my own story... well, lemme just put it this way: My first 70 on WoW is a warrior, and at the time of this little story was pretty much PVP spec. I'm tanking Shadow Labyrinth with a healer, a hunter friend of mine (who was... let's just say
very close to me at the time), and the hunter's rogue friend. Long story short, the rogue was specced 0/0/61 (full Subtlety), in around 2.1, before Shadowstep was... well, anything even approaching decent. Needless to say, while tanking (a role which precludes doing good damage because all my gear has to have stats for survivability, and the gear system in WoW doesn't allow for gear to have all the damage and tanking stats you need to be good in either role) I was doing competitive damage with this guy. Add in the fact that my Hunter friend was repeatedly pulling aggro off of me (Keep in mind that Hunters ALSO have a move that gets rid of ALL their threat meaning that when they do it, it's like they never TOUCHED the mob, on a THIRTY SECOND COOLDOWN, and you'll see how "good" a player this guy was), and I was a little bit cranky.
Anyway, I strike up a bit of a debate with the Rogue concerning Shadowstep. My Hunter friend takes it REALLY personally. To make a long story short, I, who was using this weapon (
Terokk's Quill - Items - World of Warcraft), got ninja'd out of this weapon (
Sonic Spear - Items - World of Warcraft)... by my hunter friend... who already HAD one.
I'll admit I was a little childish in arguing about the damn thing, but considering that he did something so petty like that over a debate (in which NO insults were flung at all)?
We don't speak anymore.
Oh, BTW, that Hunter friend also got caught cybering with his "sister" in public channels and told me "I don't do private channels" later on. I *really* know how to pick 'em.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
