Is there a certain Zeppelin track you would've liked to see?

Personally, I'm a little surprised there's no mention of Stairway to Heaven, since in GH1 they joked about not playing Freebird, and GH2 joked about Stairway and... well, had Freebird in it.

Just picked it up for the Wii today.

I'm stuck on Barracuda (Medium). Fucking bridge and solo... I can all but nail them in practice if I slow down just a TAD, but it's like my brain shuts down and goes "lol, no wai."

THIS IS THE FIRST GUITAR HERO GAME I'VE OWNED SHUT UP

There's nowhere I can't reach.

@Knights of Cydonia:

Fuck you and your god damn triplets. FIRST song on Medium that I've failed in the entire game. Even when I slow it down I can't get them. Which is REALLY embarrassing because Knights of Cydonia is one of my favorite songs in the game

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

It's actually simple to do hammer-on and pull-offs. Just hit the right fret and the game will count it as good.

Keep in mind though, that if you miss a fret, you'll need to hit the strum bar in order to start the hammer-on again.

BTW, beat my first song on Hard yesterday. School's Out by Alice Cooper... easy as hell, but I'm still proud of it. =D

You can do pull-offs on any note, doesn't have to be the lit up ones. You just have to plan the finguring correctly.

As for hammer-ons, you're right that you can only do them for the lit up notes as long as you sucessfully hit the note prior to it.
Wait, what? Pull-offs can be done on *any* note? Odd, because the tutorial didn't mention anything about this and they had lit notes when I did it.

I hope it's true though, it would let me ace "One" on Medium.

In other news, I'm doing some practice on Hard songs. So far I've managed to beat School's Out by Alice Cooper and My Name is Jonas by Weezer (although I still have a shit-ton of trouble on the hammer-on solos ). Considering that GH3 hard is supposed to be GH2's Expert, I'm quite proud of myself. I shudder to think about what the final boss battle will be like though.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Thanks for the tip. I'll practice some right now.

And pull-offs on any note, confirm deny y/n?

EDIT: Hmm. Talk Dirty to Me is a pretty good song, but it doesn't test me on where I'm having the most trouble with: quick hammer-ons/pull-offs, notes where I need to double strum to hit them all, and fast shifts between the GRYB and RYBO sets. I actually think I'm gonna work on "One" there. I'm about 61%... I can sorta get through to the fast part where you need the double-strut without star power, but I wanna nail them, so it'll be something for me to practice.

How ya doing, buddy?

Hmm. I'll have to do some tests on that. That'd be a MAJOR help in the faster songs if it's true.

Oh, and I feel your pain, Slash. No DLC for me because I only have a Wii.

Of course, you could always enter an "unlock all songs" cheat. >_>

I've tried dabbling into a few songs on expert, I apparently can 5-star "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and "Story of My Life." I know, they're tier 1 songs, but I'm surprised I could play them. o_o
I can't even get past the intro on "Story of My Life." On Hard.

To be honest? The same way that I'm getting used to playing Hard. Practice, practice, practice. And tons of it.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Same here... except I failed on Medium. I shudder to think about what it's going to be like on Hard (when I get there eventually, and oh lord I will).

There's nowhere I can't reach.
