Fighting the Mana Beast in Secret of Mana without the use of the Mana Magic (which to this day, I still refuse to use) makes for one of the greatest bosses of all time!.
Also, I would like to make a mention of the final battle against Lord Blazer at the end of Wild ARMS 2 that everyone has neglected to mention. Spoiler:
Final Fantasy VII had N.O.T.H.I.N.G on Wild ARMS 2's end battle. How ya doing, buddy?
