[DnD] Gamma World: The "Let's keep Pang out of the loop" thread

This thread is specifically designed to be a place for the party to strategize away from the ever present Eye of the Pangolin. Since Pang is such a master at throwing curve balls at us at every turn, it is only fitting that we join forces to return the favor every once in a while.

In short, this is where we come and discuss possible courses of action for our latest predicament. If you have questions about the mechanics or whatever, you should still refer to the rules and discussion thread. Unless you feel like that will reveal too much to Pang, in which case we can try and help you in here, or at least discuss a way to ask the question that won't make it too obvious. As if we would put that much effort into anything.

If it please the gods (er, mods), it would be nice if this thread were shielded from the Eye of the Pangolin by kicking him out of it. Permanently. I know Pang's grasp of the honor system is second to none (pffft), but it would still take away the temptation for him to look, somewhat.

Woot, our first proper encounter!

I'm gonna share my thoughts on the situation, but I want to hear what you guys think too!

From what I gather, the situation is to our advantage if we decide to fight, especially if Squeeze can figure out the controls to the wagon, as he could crush a few of them straight up if we are lucky. We are at full strength, so I'm sure we can take them without too much pain and get some nice loots early on, as well as free reign over the BOBCAT building. The blob might be a problem if it happens to join, although we can't be sure it wouldn't attack them too. Heck, we have one of his kind in our midst! (though I'm not sure if that actually helps or not :s)

Otherwise, we could always try to coax info out of them by diffusing their anger at us, and who knows, that might be worthwhile. The good Doctor Andesite would probably play a big role in this, that is if Interaction is indeed the equivalent to diplomacy. (waiting on Pang for that one)

I'll throw my hat into the LET US CRUSH THEIR HEADS camp, but if anyone has a more convincing idea I'm not closed to changing it.

That's a cool Idea, but I'm not sure if I can make the shot without taking an opportunity attack, as I'm not sure if I'm allowed to fire through the enemy without taking a penalty, and moving outside of the building to get a clear shot would be a move, not a shift.

Also, that gas would come in mighty handy, just as the bikes it is in might!

I'm not sure that with you guys in the way I can use it without hurting any of you. Also, I can use my Shield the Fallen ability to give Squeeze a bit of a fighting chance...

Although, it is true that I would be the one to figure it out if any one of us can, due to my Science + Mechanics Scores...

I had thought of the head laser, but since you guys are all in range (and Squeeze is kaput), I thought it might be too much collateral. Also, isn't a ranged attack penalized if you are in melee range? If it is, that might actually work out in favor of this plan, as the actual attack itself is only against one target, and the secondary blast only occurs if I miss (at least that's how I read it, I'll ask Pang).

Also, I have the highest HP (though not AC) of us all, so I figure I can take a few good whacks.

Oh my, why didn't I think of that? Maybe one of you can just come in and stop me (preferably in a rude manner) in my tracks to allow us to take the BOBCAT with us? There are only three bikes, so maybe whoever was gonna ride shotgun in the wagon can take it?
