My first choice would definitely be the music faculty at the university since that's the only reason I came here really and picking that up and heading back home would be great.
If it'd have to be a restaurant or store of some sort then it would be this little convenience store that doubles as a beer store on the corner of Rachel and Préfontaine streets close to my appartment. I can rarely go in there without spending at least twice the amount I figured I would on different types of micro-brews. I could live with having that with me everywhere I go. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() Juggle dammit |
I happen to be a hermit of sorts, so I really wouldn't miss much if I left this city. I'm here as a student and I intend to be gone as soon as I'm done, so being able to leave now and finish my studies back home would be just about the greatest thing for me. A big part of the reason I want to leave so bad is that I have two nephews and two nieces waiting for me in New Brunswick, and I can't say I enjoy not being there to see them grow up.
I pretty much quit going to bars on a regular basis a year or so before I moved here, so I haven't even been to most of the places you mentioned. I will admit that there are some pretty nifty breweries scattered throughout the city that I wouldn't mind having around when I leave. Brutopia comes to mind. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() Juggle dammit |
I just might do that, thanks for the recommendations. Although Europea looks a bit like it would be out of the student price range, The Boris Bistro looks rather intriguing, and I see after looking it up that I've actually been to L'Avenue twice before.
