I don't know if this falls in the thrift store category, but I can't help myself when I come across a second hand bookstore. There's a little stretch of Mont-Royal avenue here in Montreal that's got a few used bookstores right next to each other, along with a few used cd/vinyl stores.
I most certainly go there at least once a month, and I've found some pretty nifty books there, my favorites so far being collections of articles / letters written by Franz Liszt and Hector Berlioz. Both books were pretty much in mint condition, so I considered this a golden find. I've also found a copy of The Brand New Monty Python Papperbok which was in great condition and good for a few chuckles. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
