losing things...

Most things I lose are minor: receipts, books on a plane, papers, documents, socks... They turn up now and then ( the book didn't) and usually the problem is that someone else is the one cleaning up my mess. I generally remember where I put things if my room stays the way it was from the last time I left it.

On a weird note, I misplaced my pen one day during 3 hours of sitting down and writing an research paper. I was really ticked at the time because I had to meet a deadline and annoyed everyone around me, asking if they had seen it. It was only after I took another pen, finished writing the damn paper, I sat back on the chair and scratched my head. I forgot that I'd used the pen to tie up my hair because it was hot at the time.
