Where exactly do I need to go in this mission?
A link to a decent FAQ would be great, as well, I can't seem to find any good ones at GameFAQS.

That stuff Cid gives you, you have to ride one of those geysers in Dangruf Wadi. Dangruf is a zone off of South Gustaberg, which is outside of Bastok Markets and Bastok Mines. In South Gustaberg, you travel all the way north east. You'll find the zone there.
Now, a few problems that may arise upon trying to complete this mission:
-You may need to level up some in order to: A.) Solo those goblins, or B.) Be able to damage them even with a group.
-The zone Dangruf Wadi is like a maze. Many turns and narrow paths that can easily get confused with. "Did I come from there?" Get a map. To get this area's map, get one bone chip. You can buy this from the Auction House or kill some undead skeletons during night time (20:00-3:00 game time). Go to the northern bridge area of Bastok Markets. There you'll find an old man jigging around to some tune (whatever he's listening to or so happy about). TRADE him the bone chip and he'll hand you a map.
Finding the geysers in Dangruf isn't hard. But lots of people get confused as to how they work. It's rather more simple than it seems. You stand on the spout on the ground and wait. The geyser will eventually shoot water out elevating you to the next level of that area. Level as in height, not difficulty or whatever. (Although, the monsters get stronger nonetheless as you progress further into a dungeon. No matter what zone it is.)
Be sure to also remember that goblins are haters. They will pick on you if you're too low of a level, or come with no protection (Prisim Powders, Tonko: Ichi, Invisible spell.) So, keep in mind they can detect you by sight and all you need to do is run behind them.
Also keep in mind that many aggressive monsters detect by different senses: Blood, sight, sound. Blood sense is when you have below "white" numbered HP. Where your HP is in the yellow, ornage, or red colored state. This let's the undead monsters know you are weak and dying.
Hope that helps.
How ya doing, buddy?
