I've met both of my neighbors. Know their names and talk occasionally. But do I really know them as I know a friend? I think not. We socialize about this and that, but I don't really know them too well. We help each other watch over our houses, but that's about it.
I think it's good to have distances with your neighbors. You stay out of my business, I stay out of your business. Don't get me wrong, you can be acquaintences or close buddies, but not every neighbors are willing to be one. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
