Oh! I had that, or something close enough, happen to me once. When I ran scandisk, it promptly deleted all info regarding the files I had on that partition. Then when I tried to use recovery software, the best I could do is get roughly a million files that were named 000000001 to whatever number the last one was. I just gave up.

I sincerely hope it's not your case, but if you ever see scandisk display something like "Deleting file node..." roughly a million times, then you're probably screwed.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
