Getting my wisdom teeth out wasn't that bad, really. The vicodin put me right to sleep half of the time, so I was pretty out of it and didn't feel too much pain. If you can handle the gross amounts of blood coming out of your mouth the first day, you'll be fine. Oh, and don't wear anything expensive or fine for the first few days, and don't have anything on your bed that you don't want blood getting on, because I can almost guarantee there will be substantial stains.
But yeah, I almost recommend being awake during the procedure. I found it to be an interesting experience!
