I kinda break it down like this in hierarchy of attractiveness. Of course all of this is completely subjective.

Beautiful girls - Beautiful girls are at the top of the list. These are the type of girls that roll out of bed in the morning with no make up and still look stunningly gorgeous. These are a rare find.

Hot girls - Hot girls are similar to pretty girls as far as attractiveness of physical features, but they have a tendency to go out of their way to always look amazing. These girls are rarely seen without makeup or the latest fashions. Many have had breast augmentation. A good number of "plain" girls attempt to become Hot girls through cosmetic surgery and a shitload of makeup.

Pretty girls - Pretty girls are the "girl next door" type. They have attractive features, but aren't total knockouts. Pretty girls usually have a more level head and aren't as concerned with their appearance. They're already pretty, so why go to all the trouble to make themselves up all the time?

Cute girls - Cute girls are usually more petit in stature. They have very pretty facial features, but their body porportions are more condensed. They range in height from about 4'10" - 5'2" or 3". Cute girls are very similar to pretty girls. They look awesomely cute while pulling off a pony tail, an oversized hoody that comes down over their hands, and jeans.

Plain girls - Plain girls may have one or two somewhat striking features, but for the most part, they just kinda blend in. Plain girls are probably the most common. They aren't overly attractive, but couldn't be considered ugly.

Ugly girls - yeah they're gross. Not only do they have unattractive features, but usually have poor hygiene resulting foul odors.

Hey, that's an interesting list with a good breakdown. I wonder what a similar list for guys would look like.
