All Sounds of SaGa - Spiritual Battle
Actually not a bad track, it's catchy, but too short and nothing extraordinary in comparison to a few others this week. Ar tonelico Hymmnos concert Side Crimson ~Tsukikanade~ - EXEC_RIG=VEDA/ I think it's listenable, but it doesn't stir anything up in me. A fine oriental-african fusion, but I generally tend to think they are overrated. Digimon Rumble Arena (Game Rip) - Wilderness Wilderness is a good track, featuring a cohesive melody + some instruments that captures the wildlife character pretty well. No complains, just that I simply might not like it enough. Dragon's Fury (Game Rip) - Main Table The upbeat week continues with another decent track. The things that keep this track interesting are the hyperkinetic runs. The rest is varied and okay. Front Mission 5 ~Scars of the War~ Original Soundtrack - Quicksilver A strangely effective track. This so-called military theme covers a wide range of emotions and instruments to remain relatively interesting throughout. It goes from intense to reflective to heroic to whatnot. Guitar Freaks 4th Mix & drummania 3rd Mix Soundtracks - Captain's Voyage (long version) Another very good track, although the idea behind the track is rather ordinary. If I remember correctly there is another Motoaki Furukawa track, which has won a week before. There are definitely similarities to this track. PinkSweets Ibara Original Sound Track - Sweets Nerd It's a wow track. The wall-sound that was created in this track is impressive and hypnotic. The melody, while not something creative, adds greatly to the listenability and timbre of this track. Masaharu Iwata is pretty good at creating ambience. He is the guy who did "One Foot in the Grave" (Baroque OST) and probably "Like the Night of Falling Stars" (I'm not sure about this because one reviewer from Chudah's Corner said so. In the credits it only says Manabu Namiki/Masaharu Iwata) too. Ridge Racer 7 (Game Rip) - Supercruiser I am not too sure why I like this track, maybe it's just good music in a very general sense. Energy, beats and atmosphere in a pot. --- 1st - Nerdy Sweets 2nd - Supercruiser 3rd - Quicksylver Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I think this is a fitting track to start the year, heh heh.

That was a tight race for 3rd. I'm glad Sweets Nerd got one runner-up place. Oh yea, happy new year everyone.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
