They're not always that thorough with testing myths.
For example: This weekend, they showed (for the millionth time) the episode with the plywood flight construction worker person thing. Any of you who have seen this episode would probably be thinking "Well, gee. If there was a wind strong enough to pull the man carrying heavy plywood OVER the edge of the building, there must have been some updraft. They never took wind into consideration, here. I don't know. I know a lot of people are WICKED critical of these guys, but I enjoy watching the show for those jackasses. I love both Adam and Jamie. I wish most men were like those two. And GAY? what the fuck. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The myth originally said it was a "skyscraper." Not 4 flights up. Which changes the entire scenario. They weren't thorough with this particular myth. And yea, Adam has kids, but I think his bio on the site said he was divorced or something. Jamie ALSO has a wife, and I think it's his second? Eitherway, I can't believe you think they're queer looking. Welcome to Gelfing's BIZARROLAND. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
And adding more "shit" is exactly what they did. I am never really interested in the myths they work with, nor the methodology. They kind of annoy me. But it could be because I am a bitter old hag who wants to see the strange pair doing their stuff.
Because they were only trying to prove that you can't actually CONTROL the plywood while in mid-flight with it. And there was no acceleration involved at ALL on behalf of any motor vehicle. Just the slight pull of gravity, like one of those rigs from Home Alone. Maybe you should rewatch the episode? =/ This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

That doesn't sound very likely, unless they actually DID a follow-up episode - do you have a link to it? I'd like to see it. Or even just a summary of what they assessed in it? I'm curious to see, since there are a few episodes which have questionable methodology in them. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
It's definitely one of the ONLY good myth-busting shows I've ever seen. And I can't speak highly enough for the commercial with the Canadian Bigfoot, either. Hilarity. I was speaking idiomatically. |
