I don't have to go to work, and I get to pass judgment on people.
And I might even get something cool like a MURDER case, although I'd probably just end up with something boring. But there's a chance!

Have you ever BEEN to Jury Duty?
Let me tell you, it's not a "day off from work." Its about 6 hours of sitting and waiting, literally being locked into a room with a huge amount of other people. Usually with something annoying on the TV. You can't leave the room - not even to smoke. (You all can IMAGINE how well I did with that). You have a bathroom facility in the giant waiting room, but its seriously not fun.
And the trials aren't like they are in the movies. They're a lot slower, a lot dumber, and they lack the drama.
I've been on duty only once. I was excused for my beliefs on animal rights.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
