Job Hate

Man, I like this idea. I have a lot of bitching I could do about the people in my office.

I don't mind my job so much as I mind the woman I have to deal with in the office. Oftentimes, her work is pawned over to me, for some reason. I am pretty much the electronics person in the office (for some godawful reason) and just today as an example, a scanner was bought for the bitch.

A scanner I will never touch. A scanner she requested.

And I had to install it for her. Apparently, her fatass is too wide to bend over and plug in a scanner herself. I wasted a good 30 minutes installing all the fucking software required for her (because she needed it RIGHT AWAY - which is a lie), thus backing my own paperwork that 30 precious minutes which I could have used to export some internationals.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

You get offended when someone asks you to read back a message? Wow. You're worse than I am! I usually ask people to read things back to me just to be that they got the right idea, or in case it was unclear.

In general, I try not to condescend to people on the other end of the phone line, but oftentimes, I just can't fucking understand what they're saying to me. Me, being the unprofessional that I am, usually bluntly say "I can not understand you through that accent, sir."

It's almost always the Chinese physicists who I can't fucking understand. The Russians being a close second.

One time, about a month ago, while my father was out of the office, one man just DIDN'T BELIEVE ME and refused to stop calling our office. He was convinced my father was in, and he wanted to speak to him. RIGHT AWAY. He got really angry with me. I was totally offended when he started condescending to me. I kind of snapped on him. But at least he didn't bother calling back.

I instead called my father's cell and told him to call the jackass. Turns out he wanted to only buy a $300 piezo. ;_;

There's nowhere I can't reach.
