You got some Alana on you.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'll leave you with a theory to chew on - You know how MIB says that he's going to give Sayid whatever he wants, which happens to be Nadia? I wonder if this is in reference to the alternate timeline? Since Nadia is alive and well in that timeline, I have to wonder if maybe everything that's ever been promised to these characters is in reference to what's been going on in the alterna-timeline. Hmm...
I'm going to go ahead and assume that Nadia from Side Dimension is going to pop through the "magic box" Ben once told Locke about.

I share your sentiments about MIB insulting the real (dead) Locke as being a fool. I wanted to hit him so bad when he said that.

Agree with sentiments about Lapidus yapping during that underwhelming reuniting Jin and Sun, though I couldn't really bring myself to care too much that they were reunited. I knew it would come eventually. If it didn't, I doubt I would have cried about it.

I enjoyed last night's episode. I think I enjoyed it because we saw so many familiar faces having a piece of the pie... Sawyer, Kate, Claire, Jack (!!), Hugo... they all had something to do last night. I was really happy to see Jack play a little bit more in this episode, too. I kinda missed him.

The whole team is (almost) back together. This makes me happy. I just wish Sayid would come back from the dark side.

I'm also loving the fact that I can't see what's going to happen with the clash between the two islands. I find myself rooting for Sawyer, Kate, et al and then I get mad that they may have been tricked.

I was even more upset when I saw Jack jump off the sailboat.

Overall, I'm happy with these past few episodes. And I'm hard to please. I think it's because I'm starting to feel like things are coming back together, like they used to be back a few seasons ago.

I really do not look forward to the ending.
Me neither. It's like knowing there's going to be a train wreck. You have to watch it, but really, really, really don't want to because you know it's going to be a massacre.

Spoiler:
Anyways, I never really liked Sun and Jin, but I got teary-eyed during that last scene they had.

I was really upset that they didn't give Sayid a little more... um... screen time (?) for his death. I really did like Sayid for most of the show, and I think for everything he's done for the show, he deserved something more than that shit they threw at us, even if it was was his second time dying. The first time was just as stupid as the second time.

I'm still bitter about the whole temple thing, too. Why did they waste their TIME with that shit. Ugh ugh ugh.

Overall though, while this wasn't the *strongest* episode this season, it certainly beats the Dogan bullshit.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I am not as optimistic as Sprout seems to be.

Spoiler:
I almost died when I saw this stupid golden glow river. I was waiting for leprechauns and unicorns to come frolicking out of the hollow and sing Disney songs for us. I was ready to hit someone in the head. I swear to Christ if this is what it all boils down to.... some retarded golden river love canal on a Pacific island....

Meanwhile, I feel like we learned NOTHING IMPORTANT last night. Oh boy, the origins of Jacob and his no-name faggoty-ass brother. That's all fine and good, but now we have to wonder about their stupid mother and HER origins.

It's just like one trip after the next. I remember wondering about Ben Linus the same way I wondered about Jacob. Once I learned about Jacob and the Moving Cabin (ugh), I wanted to know more. But then I learned more. And it's only more CRAP. It's a chain of command that keeps revealing the same horseshit and nothing ever gets RESOLVED.

I'm not even that interested in trying to figure it out anymore. I think the writers are just fucking with us at this point. Nothing makes sense. They know we're not going to walk away so close to the end. I wouldn't be surprised if they DID throw unicorns and leprechauns in, just to see if we'll swallow it.

The past few episodes had me excited. They were improving, they were getting me hopeful, I was enjoying them. I would wait eagerly for the next week's episode. Not so this week. I had high hopes. OH WELL.

I'm looking forward to what Krelian has to say about last night's episode, though. He always seems to have good theories.

Over the past few days there've been a bunch of preview events where people got to watch tomorrow's episode, and as a result there are summaries and shit online now. Be warned.

General opinion is that it's supposedly one of the most rewarding episodes of the series and nobody has anything bad to say about it. Keeping my hopes up.
If anyone talks about this before tomorrow, then, could they please warn us... not just with the standard spoiler tags? I REALLY don't want it ruined...

...I've got this lofty goal of watching as much of the series as I can before Sunday. I'm well into half of season 1. It is AMAZING how much you catch when you go back and watch. I'm becoming more and more convinced that the plot actually WAS all planned out from the beginning now... There's no way it can all be coincidental.

I hope tomorrow night is super awesome. It kind of has to be, seeing how Sunday's finale is right around the corner.

Just in this episode I'm on now (Michael's flashback), when he looks in the box that his ex-wife left for Walt, they do a pan up of the camera so that the ceiling is visible... and it's pretty much the outline of the Dharma logo. I wish I could get a screen shot for you. I'll see what I can do - I'd have to break out the DVDs.

That's just one example that I remember off-hand. I see things here and there. I was thinking of taking notes, just to see what gets resolved on Sunday and what DOESN'T.

One of the things no one has mentioned that had been bothering me for a LONG TIME, but I thought I may had made up until now: the beach. The tide coming in and taking out the fuselage and all that shit. Jack and Sayid talk about how strange that is, and how everything on the island is soooo bizarre. I don't think they ever really addressed this. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Did anyone else feel gypped by last night's episode?

Spoiler:
I'm a little burned that the whole "who wants to take over" schtick was resolved in, like, 2 seconds. Six years of watching in something that could have taken 2 seconds. FUCK Jacob.

And "Oh, yea, I crossed off your name because you became a mother, Kate. But hey, that doesn't matter, want the job anyways?" SO WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE LIST IF YOU WERE GOING TO MAKE IT OPEN SEASON, YOU FUCKWIT.

I'm also a little confused. Jacob is dead, right? And, I mean, that... kind of... defeats the purpose.... what the fuuuuuck guys

Spoiler:
You know, that was fucking FANTASTIC until the last 15 minutes.

Seriously, some of the best shit I've ever seen.

UNTIL IT TURNED INTO JACOB'S LADDER. What the fuck was THAT shit.

I thought they said at the VERY BEGINNING that this is not how it would fucking end. UGH SO PISSED NOW.

I still enjoyed the MAJORITY of it. I'll just pretend they were all rounded up by Des and Hurley just to go back to the island and live happily ever after TRA LA LA

Also: how the fuck was Aaron born IF CLAIRE WAS... ugh

Spoiler:
They said the island wasn't purgatory, they never said purgatory wasn't going to be involved.
Spoiler:
I just watched the Kimmel special wherein Michael (Perrineau) said that because he chose some "bad" things in life, he's still on the island muttering to himself. All jokes aside, I don't fucking care whether or not the sideways plot, the island or the magic waterfall of gold and glory are purgatory. I'm pissed it was used as a scapegoat for the fucking mess they created.

I was ready to let it go. I really, really was. Like I said, 2 hours into the finale proper, and I was in love. I was so happy with where they were going, I was prepared to forgive Dogan and the temple. I was feeling the end, I was excited, sad, tense, and sympathetic.

But then this. And at the last minute, no less!

Spoiler:
So going into the light turns you into a smoke monster. Unless it doesn't. It didn't seem to be a fate worse than death for Desmond or Jack.
Spoiler:
YUP. That's what I was thinking, too.

The MiB seems to have been turned into some horrible.... smoke monster thing (which isn't THAT bad, compared to how they were talking about the Glory Hole of Doom) just by taking a water slide ride down a waterfall. But yet Flocke can walk right up to the waterfall and move things in and out of it.

Jack and Des have NO problem whatsoever with coming and going through the goddamn thing.

AND THEN JACK MAGICALLY ENDS UP IN A POOL SOMEWHERE after putting the plug back into the hole.... or whatever. WOW. Really frightening magic watering hole, there. He survives everything that Desmond survived, and Des was "special."

I can't help but to think they were actually going somewhere with this shit. I really, really think they had something. All of it feels so painfully disjointed. I was *thrilled* (and I mean epic, "this is the best television ever" thrilled) with how the first 2 hours went. I had hope. Widmore was there. Desmond was a secret weapon. Everything in the sideways plot was aligning with the island plot.

Everything was coming together for what I thought was going to be a MUCH BIGGER BOOM than "ha ha they're all dead, jokes on you."

Maybe I'm a stupid LOST fan, but I saw something bigger in the light at the tunnel, even an hour before it was all over. It's like at the last moment, they gave up in frustration, and just threw the script over the cliff.

I was convinced I knew the ending when everyone was "waking up." I was almost positive that it was all a ploy... like they were back-ups in case the fight against MiB went poorly and they all died in the fight. I was thinking Jacob had the foresight to have an a-bomb on location or something to blow shit up and create a separate reality wherein he'd have everyone ready to come back and kick Flocke's ass....

...sigh.

I watched the entire series through on Netflix Streaming, but missed a couple episodes this season.
That's interesting.

I remember a conversation we had during what, Season 3, wherein you told me it was all a waste of my time and that you'd never watch such a stupid show. JJ Abrams does such a shitty job with everything he touches, and how it's definitely below you to watch that shit.

Did you change your mind?
