[DS] Nintendo DS/Lite discussion thread

I'm mostly interested because of the better battery life and (most importantly) the reduced size and weight. It should make the system much easier to use when supported by only one hand.

Is it just me, or does the highest level of brightness seem WAAAAAY excessively bright? Like to the point that its harder to see the image? I'll probably stick to lvl 1 anyways to conserve batteries most of the time but still.....

It does seem to wash out the display, and IMO, 2 seems like the best compromise between brightness and battery life.

Damn, 2 does look pretty sexy, and there are occasions where I'm stuck playing outside and can't see a damn thing, so I can see 4 having applications, just not for general gaming X_X.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I put my protectors on with no such bubbles, although I probably got lucky considering that many of my friends have had problems with them. Still, I'll probably put protectors on my Lite when I get it as well, for the same reason they're on my current one.

Basically, no matter how careful you are with your shit, there will ALWAYS be friends to fuck it up.

The DS Lite is out June 11 in US (White only). It'll retail for 129.99 (no word on any reg DS price shifts)
