Hey everyone, just wanted to revive this thread just to say that the first episode of this OVA is out, and subbed.
http://www.mininova.org/tor/746603 Some events have been modified or cut out to streamline the story, but otherwise keeps pretty close to the game. Things look good, and the characters look much like they did in the anime cutscenes in the game. The major problem I had was with the subs, and only because I'm not used to the Desians being called the Tetheallians, or something like that. I'm kinda in a rush here, so I'm not going to post picts right now, but I may do that afterwards....mabye  Jam it back in, in the dark. |

I'm thinking they would probably cut out most of the dungeons, introduce some summons in a few quick scenes, and cut out most of the towns and cities that don't affect the story that much. Entire sub plots can be bypassed if they want to, cutting down a lot of the story that was in the game. Of course, I really do hope they don't cut out that much, but if they really want to do it all in 4 eps, they are going to have to do that. Besides, they still have more than half the plot-centric characters to introduce, and the ones that need to be introduced all have a good amount of backstory to cover.
