Yeah, Eclipse didn't really do a lot for me, either. My favourite song was only included on the album as a bonus track.

The only reason Sabbath isn't really classified by a lot of people as doom metal, Majin, is because back when they started metal didn't really have a bunch of subgenres like it does today, so everything got lumped into "heavy metal". They still have a sound more deserving of being classified as doom metal than anything else.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Anyone had a chance to check out the new Arsis (United in Regret) yet?

Yeah it was; I came across a torrent of it the other day. Just listening through it now.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Powerslave is pretty much my favorite Iron Maiden album. I'll still check out the non-Dickinson era Maiden. I know it's shunned by many metalheads, perhaps I'll take to it.
I don't even really hate Bayley's voice - I mean it's not great, but it's not horrible - but it seemed that they were really suffering from weaker songwriting in general while he was in the band.

Their early stuff with Di'Anno is pretty awesome, though.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

If you are able to read she said several times that she doesn't dislike something because it gets popular, but there is an alarming correlation between a band becoming popular and their sound changing in a way that alienates a lot of their older fans. If you can't hear that in some of the examples given I don't even know what to say.

You made it clear you knew what kind of responses you were going to get with your first post, and now that those are the exact responses that are being given to you you appear somehow surprised.

Time II is apparently supposed to have a lot more of the aggressive stuff.

vaguely resembles Amorphis, if that expedites getting you to listen to it.
