Casshern Sins:
I hear a lot of people hated the first ep of this show, but I liked it a lot. It seemed to be almost of a poetic nature, I can't really put my finger on what it was but the show felt very original and just not like another action show. It seems promising to me.
Those are basically the only ones that have potential. Also , fuck the people ( most of the haters come from ANN)who hate the first ep of Casshern. It was awesome. I've been a fan of the shows for 3 years when I got into other classic animes. It's just a little funny because Casshern looks like Megaman Zero. Also, Toradora is decent >=p.

There's also that Kurotsuji-whatever it's called. Trippy shit ;p.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Do think you have to have seen the older shows to be able to enjoy it fully? Or is it totally unrelated to the older shows? I might watch them later anyhow as I've kind of gotten into a classic anime recently as well (watching Hokuto no Ken right now).
Not exactly, but the original atmosphere and music from the early times sure feel nostalgic =]. It's still a remake and for the life of me I can't remember all but the original has Casshern, friender AND luna team up to battle against evil, etc. Not gonna spoil but it's probably better if you just watch this one. Besides, they're hard to find. The OVA's are probably somewhere here though. Good luck and let me know if you do find them. I love their music and the intro is just too damn good.

I just hope everything isn't too different. I'd like to see a brand spankin' new Friender (Tatsunoko vs Capcom doesn't count!).

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Casshern Sins episode 1 had me on the fence... Casshern Sins episode 2 has made me a believer. The series is pretty morbid and dark, so this might upset folks who like throwing the word "angst" around. I found it fairly well executed, and marked out on the action scene toward the end of the episode and how bleak of a turn the ending took after what the viewer initially sees. And whoever said this show resembles an animated version of Mega Man Zero, you're pretty astute.
Well he does look like him, but thanks. Glad you liked the show. As far as angst goes, nothing surpasses Evangelion, the epitome of angst >.<.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

This opening's sick. I only hope there aren't a shitload of fanboy/girl remixes ;p.

How ya doing, buddy?
