I was speaking idiomatically. |
My best recommendation is to leave it on 1.50. The problem is what I mentioned a few posts back that most emulators have annoying bugs. As for the drivers, you can access them on the regular psp menu by pressing select. HOME for 3.52 M33-4 or earlier m33 cfw users.
I switched back to 3.52 since I still like to play all my neo geo fighters in that version =]. Not only that, I need to get a new faceplate. Seems like my screws won't tighten any further when I opened it a year ago and the many times I had to open it just so I can remove a few dustballs that made my d-pad function weird. The analog nub is the real problem now. Any game that has analog compatability will move whatever you control on its own (Dracula X =/). What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

For Isos , just put them in the ISO folder in the root of our psp mem-stick. Homebrew emulators would go to PSP>GAME(or GAME150) and that's about it..

Well... your psp has to have a cfw.
Homebrew -- > Just follow what I said in my other post. Iso -> Samething. Only you have to make the ISO folder yourself in the ROOT (As in-- the folder that pops out with folders such as PSP,ISO,MV100 . What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]()

Hey does anyone know a good site that can explain how I can do this cfw thing for the psp slim?
I got mine yesterday (black one) and other then the cfw I tried out Darkstalkers and other 2d fighters. They play real good using the d-pad. For those who are curious that is.. Most amazing jew boots |
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I think DA released a psx prx plugin for 3.52 I think(check pspupdates or psp-hacks.com) that would have most of the ps1 isos work perfectly. Some of them you would have to go to recovery menu to remove the SCE logo cause it usually freezes there. For FF8, I read a few forums saying that it works perfectly under 3.52 m33-4. I can't acknowledge that since I haven't tried it for myself. Make sure the iso's not a PAL version but a NTSC.
Also I want to know if you know anything about hackin the psp slim ^^;. Don't wanna do anything wrong before I fuck it up ;p. EDIT : Aside from all this bs, There's a new Daedalus 13 release (n64 emulator) along with a new MAME4ALL update. Anyone every tried out the n64 emu? This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Alright. I tried to do this slimpsp hack bs. I'm all up to the part where it says something about a msipl.bin. I already got the "KD" folder with the stuff but the that bin file hadn't shown up. why?
EDIT: Nevermind. How ya doing, buddy?

If you're talking about the slimpsp. it's black with 3.60. And I have the original PSP as well. Now where I'm stuck at is the part where it wants me to go to a command prompt and rename something but this bullshit confuses me :
Step 10. Open a Dos prompt (cmd.exe) and enter these commands, replace "C:Pandora's Batterymsinst" with the folder where your "msinst.exe" and "msipl.bin" are. Also replace X with the drive of your stick. The annoying part of this is that I think my battery is now Pandora . Which means I can't go back to my old psp. *has the backups*. And I'm only able to access the memory stick through my slim. And that step is the only thing left to create that magic stick crap. Help please :V What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]()

Thanks for that but it's too late anyway. I had pressed X before triangle by accident. Which means I'll have to get a new battery from a gamestore ( a block away from home).

I'm pressing square in step 6. Nothing happens.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
Yeah but it's been tested without soldering the battery. So j00 don't need to.
I'll let someone else do this for me. A psp battery around here is like 8 bucks u.u. @ sepharite : in that forum, it says you still need a spare battery. Or I'm probably reading it wrong X.x Maybe I should let the slim be then. I have no choice but to buy silent hill origins so I can play it on my hdtv. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Nah. What I'm saying is that I accidently pressed the triangle before pressing square. I guess the result in pressing square (to create the eeprom)during your second time in pandora's creator program fucks it all up. Does anyone have that eeprom? maybe it might work if someone gives me that.. I have it but it's still too late =/.
EDIT : I forgot about that msipl bullshit. So I did it but the thing is, it doesn't ask me that question "Write ABS Sectore 0x10 to 0x1E" or to press Y and enter. Any ideas? EDIT 2 : Here's a screenshot Spoiler:
EDIT 3 : Back up completed. I had reformat the stick with the msformat cmd prompt. My phat is fine now..Now to try this shit again >.>; There's nowhere I can't reach.

Whoa? That's just amazing. But is it for both psp's?
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Heh.. I remember that being a bitch and took me 5 hours to understand that shit but got it work perfectly again. Anyway, just stuff this bitch folder in the root of your mem stick. Make sure certain modules ,etc are enabled through Recovery Mode.
