Bottom line for me, I like my anime the way I like my foreign films: in their own original language.
On the other hand, Japanese voice acting grates me for some reason. Perhaps it is the tendency to overact (as opposed to the American tendency to underact) that I find appearing a bit too extreme. Emotions and effect are fine and good, but making everyone emote puts the "melo" with the "drama". Jam it back in, in the dark. |
