Max Payne had a terrific mood. And the original game was far superior in its playing with overused, overdrawn stereotypes. It was so cheesy that it hurt. The Finito Brothers. Don Punchinello. Vinni Gagniti. The Ragnaröck Club. But it WORKED. And it worked far better than the toned down, more serious second part, which also was great, but IMO lacked the massive amounts of tounge in cheek part 1 had.

And THAT'S something they hopefully bring over to the movie. Plus this "Noir York" kind of feeling.
Could actually work. Max Payne is a game that doesn't rely on gameplay alone, so there's something in there to actually make a movie of. Unlike most other games made into movies...
