yep it's a pretty common bug, there's 2 miss tranlated name: the name of Celcius and efreet do not appear correctly in the menu and close to the end of the game there's 2 dialogue that don't play the good voice speech (ex: there's a conversation between all the craymel and instead of hearing them speak you hear Farah and Reid...)

and for that volt freeze, the only way to pass that freeze is to give your save files to someone that do not have this freeze there, and ask him to pass this scene and return a new save files after that...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I really don,t think the bug in tales of eternia are cause ebcause of firmware. I think this is just the people that worked on the port to the psp that made some mistake...

nope they are not that bad, they are yes noticeable but not that long and really the meny is probably the only long load time, I didn,t really notice anything in game really (some time when entering a battle it may happen, but not often, I even think it was already that way on ps1)

really valykyrie profile: Lenneth is almost a perfect port, go for it you'll not regret it

and yes it's a 2.6 firmware, I don't use any homebrew(?) so my psp is always up to date, but I heard that devhook can "simulate" the 2.6 firmware even on a 1.5, doN,t know if VP work well with it though...

what's the big deal? nintendo already did it with the multiple gameboy, GBA/GBA SP and DS/DS lite so why sony can't do a redesign for the PSP to make it better?

if i'm correct ad-hoc mode is PSP to PSP and Infrastructure is Online...

Anyway about Coded arms...I saw the ps3 trailer that they gonna make, and I really loved it!, I really like the design of that game and all. What I want to know is if coded arms on PSP is any good and if it look like that trailer. I know that was a ps3 trailer XD, I mean if it's in the same design (you know like a digital world)

I guess it will be 2.8x since it's coming this december (3.00 seem too recent to be it, but the 2.8 seem more likely to be it)

the biggest problem with the 3.00 update was that some game didn't work properly, like Jeanne d'Arc that was crashing in some loading time.

like I said for now you need a ps3 because the playstation store is only avaible for the ps3, but apparently they are working on a way so that the psp will be able to acces it... so will have to wait for an update...

but anyway ps1 game are avaible only in Japan now...I hope they will add them to the NA playstation store soon...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

omg I almost got an heart attack today >.< I drop my psp 2 floor high! it was almost like in a movie where everything goes in slow motion and you do those face that you sure look stupid XD

but fortunately for me I carry always my psp in the default soft little pocket, so most of the shock was absorb by that...and IT STILL WORK PERFECTLY!!! (omg I was so happy)

the only thing that happen is the little button that keep the battery cover fell of, but I just put it back easily without problem. I was more worried about the screen, but there no scratch on it ^^ there's just the "umd door" that was a little deformed from the shock, but it really minimal and all game work fine XD

so that was my little (big) scare or the day XD

the logitech one? because yeah I heard about it and I thought about purchasing it a lot of time but I thought it wasn't that necessary... now I think I'll give it a shot XD

elixir: you know that in this forum, there's some people that still prefer to buy games XD but I can see why a lot of people use devhook, but for me I never use emulation or other homebrew, some keeping my psp at 1.5 was a little useless....

I was speaking idiomatically.

hey I got Power Stone collection for christmas ^^ I'm a big fan of that game XD it's good to have 2 game in one ^^ for now the only problem I see is the loading time >.< they are pretty bad... and I think the graphic in power stone 2 was tone down a little (some textures look really bad)

but overall I like this port ^^

well I was never interested in homebrew for my psp but now that I read every comment on the psone emulator, I really start to regret to fully upgrade my psp :\

I think I'll wait before updating in case in about 6 month or a years there's a downgrade for the 3.03 version XD

I have a question... when you downgrade and start using those homebrew application, if by any chance I don't like it for x reasons, is it possible to return your psp to "normal" and use it like you never downgrade and use those custom firmware?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I'm just the kind of guy who don't really like to mod their thing just in case something goes wrong... and it's just that I'm not sure that I'll use those homebrew enough to justify modifying it. Just wanted to know if I could restore my psp to normal in case I don't use homebrew as often as I think I would.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm like SouthJag even if I have a 1.5 psp and knew about homebrew at that time, I wasn't really interested in homebrew...there's ps1 emulator on PC and have it ready but I never use it or rarely and when I use it it's mainly to replay the game I already have...so I don,t see why I would be more interested in playing them on my psp...

anyway I don't have the GTA game and don't plan to buy it just for that(because I don't like much gta game so beside the hack for downgrade it will be useless to me) and I don't want to go in all the trouble to find the good version (not to say that I'm pretty sure the price will go up on ebay now)

How ya doing, buddy?

for freelance, yes there's an option to stop the umd to auto start, I just don't remember which firmware you need to do it...

great after 2 years I just fount out that I have a fake memory stick and that now it starting to just... not work properly... I didn't even know that fake memory stick even existed >.< oh well now at least I just found out that futureshop has a big deal on Sony 4gb memory stick pro duo for less than a 2gb. XD

(i'll never buy another memory stick on ebay again >.<)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

hmmm today I just noticed that there's some dust that got it between the psp screen and the "plastic case" and I was wondering if it was safe to open my psp just to take that dust out, but I can clearly see it when I play a game...

or if there's other way to safely clean it up...

well it's been 2 years since I have it so it's not on the warranty anymore XD I guess I'll have to open it up.

anyone have a website that could show how to open it properly? So I'm sure that I don't break anything inside XD

the shear fact that lumines is awsome wasn't enough?
I'm not really into puzzle game and game that are somewhat like tetris are even more boring for me... I tried the demo and I wasn't impress at all.

At least if I don't like it more than the demo I know that I still have a good reason to keep it...

great. it seem that this game is either rare or because of the new exploit the game is selling at high price... lucky me, I found a little video games store close to my house that sell it brand new for 15$

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

well I just downgraded and install the custom firmware 3.04 OE-A and even if I didn't really had time to test it, I pretty please by it. I just played xenogears on my psp and I have to say that I'm impress by the emulation!

I'll continue to test this out more tonight ^^
