I really don't see why you would feel the need to be anti-FMA, just because something is over-rated doesn't mean it has to be bad (even though it sometimes is). It's not the most amazing show ever, but compared to many other shounen actions it has an intelligent storyline and idea, and plenty of good, dramatic moments. Many great characters as well and at least the journey isn't a completely generic version of "I want to be stronger."
And you may feel that it was wasted potential and they failed to present or realise some of the underlying ideas in a satisfactory way, but again I think that's a pretty poor argument for saying that it isn't good. Many shows of this type
don't even have any ideas to begin with. I don't quite agree with your filler comment either, I thought it was most often on track and much of it was relevant in one way or another. Besides, who says filler has to be bad? Some of the stand-alone episodes in Ghost in the Shell are my favourites.
