NDS TV Converter?

As the article states, it seems like it is not a very worthwhile venture, but they're trying it anyway!

Article

They grab one screen and place it on the TV, but the Touch Screen must remain unprojected for obvious reasons.
It seems to make sense for games like Mariokart DS where you don't use the bottom screen much, but for anyone who's played Zelda 4 Swords on gamecube knows that switching from looking at the TV screen to your GBA screen (and now DS screen with more functionality) is disorienting at best.

Just a bit of gaming ingenuity and technology for ya!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm not so sure. By the looks of it it'll be expensive, and it's not like you'd be able to play it with all the games. I wonder why they're even bothering to go through with it.
I love my GBA player on the GCN as wlel, BTW. Minish Cap was very nice on that system. I also like not having to get out my Super Gameboy to play all the old games on the bigger screen as well.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

It's definitely VERY odd that they are using mirrors and projection, but they really don't have a choice without breaking it open and asking consumers to do major soldering, or just offering pre-made DSs. That wouldn't sell.
The screenshots provided look awful as well, but that's about what I'd expect from the design.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If you projected both screens in the fashion that they are projecting the top screen, most games would be unplayable because of the touch screen control.
The only way around this would be to devise some sort of wacom tablet attachment or accesory, but that would drive the price up to probably more than a DS.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
